On July 1st 2024, IWI’s Project Air & Space Power Advisor Charlie McGillis was published by the Air University’s Journal of Indo-Pacific Affairs. In the article, McGillis provides a comprehensive exploration of operating in the gray zone, highlighting the importance of employing strategies below the armed conflict threshold in today’s global security landscape. Emphasizing the need to synchronize diplomatic, informational, and economic instruments to dissuade adversaries without resorting to kinetic conflict, the paper particularly addresses the strategic significance of the Indo-Pacific region and China’s activities in space.
