Aaron Utsler

Aaron Utsler enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 2001, beginning his career as a sonar technician before transitioning to intelligence in 2006. Over 22 years, he ran intelligence operations across four continents, serving aboard the USS Vicksburg (CG-69), with the Navy Expeditionary Intelligence Command, and within a special operations joint task force. His work spanned CI/HUMINT collection, operational planning, and cross-cultural engagement, earning him numerous personal and unit awards.

At New North Ventures, Aaron applies the same analytical rigor and human-centric insight to strategic storytelling, thought leadership, and audience engagement. He orchestrates content strategies, produces Substack dispatches, directs podcasts, designs events, and cultivates narratives that resonate. He believes the most valuable intelligence emerges from relationships and trust, a philosophy that now guides how he builds meaningful connections for the firm.

A graduate of Saint Leo University with a degree in Religious Studies, Aaron continues to explore the human dimension of strategy and decision-making.
