Brian Kerg
Brian Kerg is an active-duty U.S. Marine Corps officer, operational planner, communications officer, and prior-enlisted mortarman. Having recently served as the G-5 Director of Plans at III Marine Expeditionary Force in Okinawa, Japan, he authored operational plans and campaign plans still in effect in the Indo-Pacific. He also serves as a Non-Resident Fellow for the Atlantic Council’s Indo-Pacific Security Initiative and writes frequently on countering Chinese gray zone operations and preparing for protracted war. He holds a M.A. in Operational Studies from the School of Advanced Warfare, a M.S. in Information from the University of Michigan, a M.A. in Military History from Norwich University, and a M.S. in Strategic Information and Cyberspace Studies from National Defense University.
