Janna Mantua, Ph.D., is a member of the Research Staff at the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA). Janna has a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience and is completing a Master’s degree in Military Strategic Studies with a concentration in Irregular Warfare. At IDA, she contributes to projects focusing on offensive and defensive influence operations. Prior to working at IDA, she worked at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research for 5 years. There, she was the Lead Scientist on a research team that focused on optimizing soldier cognitive, physical, and operational performance during multi-day training and deployment missions. She also assisted with psychological assessment and IQ testing of two SOF-trained partner units in Afghanistan.
