Janna Mantua, PhD.

Chief Operating Officer

Dr. Janna Mantua is a Senior Analyst and Interviewer at the Afghanistan War Commission. Previously, she served as a Defense Analyst at OSD CAPE, the Institute for Defense Analyses, and the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. Through the latter role, she deployed with the 75th Ranger Regiment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel. She is a Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) Non-Resident Fellow. She has a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and she is completing a Master’s in Military Studies (Irregular Warfare Concentration) from American Military University.
