Matthew McCabe is the US & Canada Cyber Coverage Leader at Marsh, a division of Marsh McLennan, LLC—the world’s leading professional services firm in risk, strategy, and people. In this role, he oversees cyber insurance coverage language and solutions across the region. Matt also brings extensive experience as a retail and reinsurance broker specializing in cyber insurance.

Prior to Marsh, Matt served as General Counsel at Kivu Consulting, Inc., a cybersecurity and cyber incident response firm specializing in ransomware. Before his career in the cyber insurance industry, Matt served senior counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security, where he
advised on cybersecurity and data privacy issues. He also served as a policy director on the Homeland Security Council during the George W. Bush administration.

Earlier in his career, Matthew was a litigator at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP in New York, focusing on securities and accounting fraud, and clerked for Hon. William H. Pauley III in the Southern District of New York.
