Otuu Uhere
Dr. Otuu Vincent Uhere is a Military Historian and Research Fellow at the Irregular Warfare Center (IWC), National Defence College (NDC), Abuja – Nigeria, with research interest in arms control and disarmament, defence and security studies, irregular warfare, and resistance studies. Before joining the IWC, he served as a Research Fellow at the Center for the Study of Leadership and Complex Military Operations (CSLCMO), Nigerian Defense Academy (NDA), Kaduna – Nigeria, and at the Center for Strategic Research and Studies (CSRS), NDC; where he equally served as the Deputy Training Coordinator. He obtained a BA in History and International Relations from Ebonyi State University, Abakaliki – Nigeria, a MA and a PhD in Military History from Nigerian Defense Academy. Dr. Otuu has extensive field research experience on the Nigerian Civil War and has participated in field researches, including the 2024 Defense Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) at 60 research project, and the maiden 2025 IWC field research conducted in the areas of the ongoing Joint Task Forces operations to ascertain the impact on the socio-economic development of the populations in the operational areas.
