Robert Newton

Lt Col Robert “BEAR” Newton is an assistant professor of mathematical sciences at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado. He is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Air Force Test Pilot School, a distinguished alumnus of the University of Arkansas, and holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Penn State. An AC-130 combat systems officer and former squadron commander, he has worked with operational, joint, and academic teams across special operations and flight test communities. His research has been published in Health Care Management Science and the Air & Space Operations Review, spanning policy design, talent management, and military readiness.
