Steven D. Shaw

Chief Development Officer

Steve Shaw is the Chief Development Officer at the Irregular Warfare Initiative (IWI). An Army Officer since 2011, Steve brings extensive experience and a strategic mindset to his role. He holds a Master of Policy Management from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. Passionate about IWI’s mission, Steve believes that successful outcomes hinge on collaboration between academics and practitioners.

At IWI, Steve leads our efforts to grow. Currently his team seeks to raise funds by securing grants, advertisers, and donors, aiming to establish IWI as a self-sustaining think tank. Outside of work, he enjoys family time, reading, and mountain sports, especially skiing.
